Mare And Foal In The New Forest

A mare and her new foal graze calmly on the grasslands of The New Forest in Hampshire, England. The foal seeks reassurance from her mother that I am no threat when I took this picture. The foal was kind enough to look at the camera when I captured the shot. This was taken in early Spring as the new grass shoots were springing up and the trees were coming into full leaf.
